The series of developing custom roms is on and amazing we have got some more developers developing roms for our poor Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini GT-S5570 smartphone. This new rom which I am about to introduce with you all through this short video is actually the pure cyanogen mod 7.2.0 RC0 rom developed/compiled by subpsyke, another developer from xda-forums. So, you might be wondering why it is considered pure cyanogen mod rom; that's because this is directly compiled from the official cyaogen mod source without little or no modification and w/o addition of many tweaks. The changes or tweaks are limited to small bug fixes only. Continue reading and watch the video below to learn more about this rom.
Pure Cyanogen Mod 7.2.0 RC0 is currently in v1.1 stage. This is what the developer, subpsyke, has to say in regard of this Cyanogen Mod port to Samsung Galaxy Mini.
So, that's all for now. I will be updating you with the latest from the developer as well as this cyanogen mod rc0 rom. For now, please enjoy the video below.
Pure Cyanogen Mod 7.2.0 RC0 is currently in v1.1 stage. This is what the developer, subpsyke, has to say in regard of this Cyanogen Mod port to Samsung Galaxy Mini.
"Hey folks,
This is a port of Cyanogen 7.2.0-RC0 (based on Android Gingerbread 2.3.7) for the Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570) phone. The current port status is stable - most hardware is working correctly, but see post #2 for known issues.
Thanks to all who have contributed/shared code from the Galaxy 5 port, as well as coolya, tj_style and teamhacksung for the kernel patches and reference Tass device configuration."
Note: This port is 100% built from source, heavily based on my "Galaxy5" device sources. The reason why I have decided to develop/release this ROM is that I prefer to use a vanilla CyanogenMod build (with no customized/extra apps included), and I noticed some issues with all existing builds (e.g. FM radio, audio device routing, native CyanogenMod USB tethering) which I have already fixed in my Galaxy 5 port.
I don't actually own this phone, but I will offer support in my free time while I still have the device in my possession, and sources are provided.
So, that's all for now. I will be updating you with the latest from the developer as well as this cyanogen mod rc0 rom. For now, please enjoy the video below.

thanx for the vid, yagya ...so which do u think is better? cm7 by squadzone or this one?
ReplyDeleteI like CM7 by squadzone since it has got the awesome tablet tweaks (which I am quite addicted to now). But, since both are CM7 and both are quite stable, you can use any you prefer. CM7 by squadzone focus on more features while this CM7 focuses on being clean and stable. Quite different, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteyagga..if i want flash this rom,i must wipe data or not in cwm?
ReplyDelete:D thanxx yagya ..and another thing ...on the xda forum there are numerous people complaining about bluetooth saying that its not working properly. Is it true?
ReplyDeleteFunny. I have the same problem too. My device cannot be discovered, even when it is already set to discoverable and no time-out is set.
ReplyDeletethese bugs are confusing me whether or not i should flash it =(
ReplyDeleteEveryone, try updated CM7 RC5.0.1 (download it from Roms and Utilities). It is a quick bug fix version and if this bug was there then he has probably fixed it. download it, follow instructions from above and you are done.
ReplyDeleteWipe data and cache...
ReplyDeleteThis rom have problems with conexion 2g/3g?

Probably, your settings are cropputed. Make sure you have a working APN setup at Mobile Data Settings in Wireless and Network Settings. Ask, help from your network operator for the settings for your device.
ReplyDeleteI did, I asked for help to my operator. I set the APN and everything but sigi not work. I returned the 7.2
