UPDATE!!! 2012/7/10 AOKP Milestone Rev 2
AOKP, an acronym for Android Open Kang Project, is a growing custom rom distribution for many Android smartphones. The name AOKP evolved as a play of the word 'Kang' and 'AOSP (Android Open Source Project)', thus forming Android Open Kang Project. This project initially started for fun by Roman Brig back in November 2011 for his Nexus device, grew bigger and better and expanded to many devices. As per the statistics published by AOKP, now there are 50,000 device running AOKP and similar 120,000 devices running unofficial builds (aka KANG) form AOKP code-base.
