MIUI is one of the custom android rom which is quite famous for it's beautiful and appealing user interface among users. While it started as a closed-source software, recently it was open-sourced to large number of android communities making it possible for independent developers to port it for those devices that are not officially supported by MIUI yet. Luckily, Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 was able to get one of such port, all thanks to a developer Siznex. After main alphas and betas, MIUI Gingerbread for galaxy mini/pop has reached a whole new level with enough stability and performance to support various daily needs of different users.
Reaching Beta 3 of development, MIUI Gingerbread has almost everything up and running except for some few minor bugs. This rom is ported from various other unofficial MIUI roms which are developed for Galaxy Ace, LG Optimus One, P500 and other devices. However, the developer has re-sized the launcher and other icons to better suit the screen of galaxy mini smartphone, added some scripts, edited SystemUI and Settings and fixed few bugs that were there in previous versions. With the latest Beta 3, the dark background which appeared in the settings of third party app has also been fixed. Also, not to forget that the developer has combined CyaogenMod Settings in System Settings of this custom rom, however, most of the settings there don't work for now. Rest everything is fine and rom should be usable for daily requirements.
So, instead of hear me babbling about what's working and what's not, why don't you guys give it a try on your Samsung Galaxy Mini or Pop GT-S5570 smartphone and have a taste of MIUI on your galaxy mini. After all, like Ice Cream Sandwich, MIUI too is one of the much anticipated roms and many other devices owners still hope for its successful ports. So, let's get started.
P.S. You can have a look at some of these screenshots of MIUI Beta 3 to get an outside overview of this rom before you actually try it out.

Im flashing the rom right now and boot screen is really taking so long. The MI-XIAOMI.COM golden flashing screen.it just repeats itself.
ReplyDeleteIt take quite some time... But, if it's taking much time go back to recovery and flash the rom again and reboot. It should boot fine within 5-10 minutes.
ReplyDeletewhy is my call always ending during 1:43 . I am using Ncell and whenever i call someone it ends in 1:43 . What is the solution?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not aware about that? It can be a bug, but i've not heard anyone talk about this issues yet. If it's being a major problem, simply flash another rom, until next update.
ReplyDeleteNICE ROM I HAVE INSTALLED EVERY THING IS WORKING GREAT.. AND TILL NOW DNT FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH IT FROM LAST 2 DAYS
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rom. The most beautiful one in fact. It's fast, Wi-Fi, Camera and all these things work. Doesnt have any bugs in this aspect.
ReplyDeleteBut after installing some apps on it, it always Reboots everytime I try to connect it to the PC via USB cable. Requires a Wipe Cache and Data in order to be able and connect it to the PC. If there wasnt this bug, I'd have stick with this ROM probably forever. Hope for better in next releases/updates.
Yes, this rom is indeed beautiful one. However, the reboot problem you are talking didn't occur to me. Maybe you selected external (or sdcard) option while installing apps. That is the problem for the occasional reboot. It should be fine if you choose internal memory.
ReplyDeleteHmmm maybe I did install them on the SD card. I sincerely can't remember for sure but I think I did. In this case I will wait for next releases and hope they fix this issue. I have a lot of apps to install and the internal memory can't handle it. I install close to 50 apps in my 2GB SD Card.
ReplyDeleteBut I will make a Nandroid backup of my current ROM and than 'play' with MIUI and its amazing themes and UI overall....
Thank you Yagya!
MIUI + cyanmobile mod & kernel = ultimate ROM :D
ReplyDeleteYes, MIUI interface with Cyanmobile features would be an awesome rom indeed. But, we have no one to work on this project.
ReplyDeleteJust flashed this ROM. Seems there is no Google Apps on it (Play, Maps, Youtube etc...) Please help me to get them.....
ReplyDeleteFixed it. I just synced my Gmail account at Settings and everything is fine. Thank you anyway.
ReplyDeleteNO, instead you should unckeck lockscreen while applying any themes. This problem is due to the theme being not optimized for LDPI screen. You can also use MiLocker for lockscreen.
ReplyDeletewe can not connect the phone to system by using usb it is just switch offing
ReplyDeletesorry my bad :D
ReplyDeletejust like yagya said, thats the best way.. thanks
