MORe Rom By Godell For Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini GT-S5570.

UPDATE!  Added update for multilingual and rtl fixes.

MORe rom - A new addition to the list of custom roms for Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini GT-S5570 smartphone is quite a unique rom developed by Godell from xda-forums. This rom is quite unique than other roms in the sense that the changes are not on the design and look rather than on the kernel and thus improving the speed and peformance of this custom rom. MORe custom rom is much like emanon rom but, without any changes to interface and only changes being are including overclocking features and some tweaks for performance improvements. You can consider this rom as a stock rom with overclock features.

So, you might be thinking if this rom is worth giving a try. My suggestion to you is : 'Go for this rom if you are looking for a stock rom that can be overclocked, has root access and/or can run init.d scripts including a2sd scripts for solving low internal memory problems --which is a major problem in low end devices like Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Ace and others'. Below is an overview of changelog of this rom. Also, this rom is supposed to have further updates so it is worth trying.
  • Custom Kernel to support ext partitions and overclock features with governors.
  • Can be overclocked upto 864 MHz
  • Root access; superuser, busybox and su binary pre-installed.
  • S2E pre-installed for installing applications to sd-ext.
  • DSP Manager, OpenVPN Settings, etc included.
  • Latest Google Apps Included.
  • Advance Power Menu (with many options).
  • Ice Cream Sandwich transitions and boot-animation included.
  • Init.d tweaks support (including tweaks from emanon rom) - for running scripts at boot.
  • RTL Fix (in next version/update).
So, that was just  a short change log and to get the real taste of this rom you ought to try it out, so just follow the instructions from below and get on with it. This custom rom is quite fast and stable with good battery backup as well as stock look and feel so I am sure you won't regret flashing it. Also, you might want to take a look at these screenshots of MORe rom before deciding to flash it.

8. Wait till the rom is flashed/installed on your device. Once done, Wipe Data and Wipe cache from recovery menu.

9. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

Updates :
  • update-MORe-rtl-multilang-signed.zip : Fix for RTL languages and many other languages added. Flash it in Clockwork mod recovery as above, wipe cache only; do a data wipe if you are stuck at android logo.
Once rebooted successfully, you can try this new custom rom and explorer through it's features developed for galaxy pop/mini gt-s5570. Since, this rom is close to stock rom in design you might think it doesn't has anything worth at the first look, however, if you go on using this rom you will find it pretty nice and good. You can overclock this rom with the help of No Frills CPU Control app from market, or any other similar app. So, now enjoy this overclocked stock rom on your galaxy mini. If you need further help or have any doubts feel free to post a comment.

P.S. If you like this rom then don't forget to thank the developer at this thread on xda-developers forum. You can request any features or report a bug either at that thread or in the comments below.

  2. It depends upon your device. For me most roms are stable at 753 Mhz only, above it my galaxy mini reboots. So, it soley depends upon your device so give it a try and see if it works for you or not.

  5. I can't say which one is better for two, but, I can say which one is better for me. I like CM7 for myself for some obvious features that it provides. However, this is also a nice rom and you can give it a try and see if you like it.
